When you join your local home builders association, you automatically become a member of your state home builders association (NSHBA), and the NAHB.

Networking & Communications

NSHBA is an open forum for builders and related industry professionals to meet and exchange information about opportunities, trends and problems. Associate members have opportunities to meet with builders in order to build and sustain positive and profitable relationships. Statewide events provide opportunities to build fellowship and nurture friendships across the state.

Promoting Professionalism

Special seminars are sponsored by NSHBA to help members comprehend and take advantage of opportunities in today's rapidly changing market. Additional educational opportunities are offered in conjunction with the Home Builders Institute, the educational arm of NAHB. Members can earn a professional designation of Certified Graduate Associate, Certified Graduate Builder, Certified Graduate Remodeler, or Certified New Home Sales Person. Also, a Nebraska Certified Green Builder designation can be earned through participation in the Green Building Program.

The International Builders Show is the largest of its kind in the world. NAHB also holds Spring & Fall Board meetings, the Legislative Conference, and The Remodeling Show.
